about us

We occasionally learned of Poetry Festivals and Poetry Performances held abroad, and we yearned to participate at least in one of them. Fortunately we were asked to participate in the International Poetry Festival at Thiruvananthapuram in 2007. After participating in the Festival we were eager to hold a Poetry Festival in a small way and dedicate it to all English teachers in our country.

Every one is a poet and every one's heart experiences certain flutters caused by his or her innate aesthetic sense on some occasions in his or her lifetime. Those who express their emotions and thoughts are generally known as poets. Such poets need encouragement and appreciation. With a view to encouraging poets we sent e-mails with regard to our Poetry Fest: 2008 to a few poets, requesting them to contribute their poems to our Festival Souvenir "Heart-Throbs". We are glad that our request evoked a tremendous response. We received not only poems from the poets but also their best wishes for the success of our Poetry Fest. We feel sure that their poems will add to the body of Indian Poetry in English. We thank all the poets for sending us their 'Heart- Throbs' and best wishes, and we also wish each and every one of them success and fame in the splendorous realms of  Poetry.
